Be Kind, Involved,
and Inclusive
About Me
I have strong roots in Marin. My parents, immigrants from Iran and the Philippines, moved to Marin from San Francisco when I was a young child and impressed upon me the value of education, hard work, and the importance of being involved in your community. I attended Union College as an undergraduate, earning a degree in biology and a minor in medical sociology. I subsequently earned a master’s degree from the Harvard School of Public Health, and worked for a time in the field of international public health.
I returned to Marin to start my own family with my husband Andy, and have lived in Belvedere since 2011. My three children attend each of the RUSD schools: a 2nd grader at Reed, a 5th grader at Bel Aire, and a 7th grader at Del Mar. I see first-hand what can be achieved in a school system with strong leadership, engaged families, and exceptional teachers and staff.
I am grateful to have the opportunity to raise my family in this supportive community. I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering and being involved in this community. I am deeply invested in the success of all students and our schools.
